Why are no classes showing when I import classes or students from Google Classroom?
Why are no classes showing when I import classes or students from Google Classroom?
To use Google Classroom rostering, your Quill account must be linked to your Google account, and you must be listed as the primary teacher (owner) of the class in Google Classroom. Co-teachers cannot import classes they don't own.
If your classes aren't showing up, try these steps in order:
Verify ownership. In Google Classroom, open the class β click the People tab β confirm you're listed as the primary teacher. If you're not, ask your school's IT admin to transfer ownership.
Clear your cache and cookies, then log out of Quill and log back in.
Unlink and re-link your Google account in Home β My Account, then try the import again. If your Quill account is brand new, it might be helpful to delete and re-create the account, only if you don't have any legacy data you'd like to keep on Quill.
Re-import students. If classes import but students don't, use the Import Google Classroom students option from the class page.
Still stuck? Contact support@quill.org with your class name(s), any co-teachers' emails, and a screenshot of the People tab. If you're on a school network, also ask your IT team to check that Quill isn't blocked by a firewall.

My Google Classroom-synced students are missing or not updating. What should I do?
If newly added students are not appearing in Quill, confirm that they have been added in Google Classroom first, then use the Import Google Classroom students button within the synced class in Quill. If the issue persists after re-importing, verify that you are logged into the correct Google-linked Quill account and that the Google Classroom integration is still active. If needed, contact Quill Support at support@quill.org for further assistance.
