While Quill's activities can be completed by individual students anytime, anywhere, Quill's lessons are meant to be given in class by a teacher.

There are two different ways teachers can assign lessons to the entire class, groups of students, or the whole classroom.

  1. Teachers can select the "Assign Activities" tab from their header menu to explore all of Quill's available activities, including pre-made activity packs, exploring our entire activity library, or our pre-AP and AP materials. To browse Lessons, click "Explore all activities in our activity library."

From there, teachers can browse Lessons specifically by filtering for "Whole Class Instruction," which will filter for all of the Quill Lessons we currently have.

2. To assign a Quill Lesson to the entire class, follow the same procedure you would for any other Quill activities. Select the Lesson you'd like your class to complete, press "Assign."

3. Next name the lesson, select a due date (optional), select the class/students you'd like to assign the activity to, and click "Assign pack to classes."

4. Teachers can use Quill's diagnostics to assign lessons more quickly. If your students have already completed a diagnostic, select the "Student Reports" tab from the dashboard, followed by the "Diagnostics" tab below. Select the diagnostic you want and then click the "Recommendations" tab.

From here, click "View Teacher-Led Activities" to see the lesson packs Quill has recommended for each student based on the results of the diagnostic. Finally, click "Assign Pack" on one of your chosen lesson packs.
