How do I merge classes?
To merge any of your classes, navigate to the Active Classes page in the Manage Classes tab.
On the Active Classes page, click on the class you want to keep as the primary class. This is the class into which the other classes will be merged. Within the Class settings section, click the Merge classes button.
When you click the Merge classes button, the Merge Classes form will appear. On the 1. Select classes step, check the box next to each class you want to merge into the primary class, and then click the Next button.
On step 2. Review and merge, review the primary class and the secondary class(es) that will be merged into it. When you're ready, check the box to confirm that you understand the students from the selected secondary classes will be transferred to the primary class. Lastly, click the Merge classes button.
How do I view the classes I've merged?
After you merge classes, you can see the secondary classes that were merged into a primary class. Navigate to the Active Classes page, click on the primary class to expand it, and find the Merged classes section.
Each merged class is listed with its name, student count, class code, and the date it was merged.
How do I restore a merged class?
If you want to restore a class that was previously merged into a primary class, navigate to the Active Classes page and click on the primary class to expand it. In the Merged classes section, find the class you want to restore and click the Restore class button.
When the Restore class button for a class is clicked, the class reappears on the Active Classes page as a separate class, and its originally rostered students and their associated activity data are moved back into that class.

Why does Quill suggest that I merge my classes?
If you have a large number of classes with only a few students rostered in each, Quill may automatically show you a message suggesting that you merge some of your classes. Quill works with any number of classes, but merging classes can make your account easier to manage.
You can close the message at any time by clicking the X icon or the Close button. Merging classes is always optional.
When do I merge classes?
If you teach several small sections that you'd like to manage as a single class, you can merge them together.
If you accidentally created more than one class for the same group of students, you can merge the duplicate classes into one.
