The AP® Writing Skills Survey generates recommended practice activities personalized for each student based on their performance on the survey. To assign these recommended activities:

  • Select the Student Reports tab in your teacher dashboard

  • Select the "Diagnostics" sub-tab

  • Select the View results and recommendations button for the AP® Writing Skills Survey

  • Click the Practice recommendations tab on the left side of the screen

  • Click the Assign activity packs button to assign the recommended activity packs to students

  • Once you click this button, choose your preferred release method - Staggered Release or Immediate Release. Staggered Release allows students to complete one pack at a time, with the remaining packs staying locked until the previous activity pack is fully completed. Immediate Release allows students to access every recommended activity pack at once and pace their progress through the activity packs. Click here to learn more.

  • After clicking the Assign button, each cell representing an assigned activity pack will indicate the number of activities out of the total number of activities that a student has completed. Furthermore, students will be able to start working on their recommended activities in their student dashboards.
