If your school or district has purchased School/District Premium and requires you to connect Quill to your Google Classroom account, follow these steps.

Signing Up & Logging in

Go to https://www.quill.org/sign-up/teacher and click the "Sign Up with Google" button.

Select your school-based Google account and click "allow" to authorize Quill's access.

Find and link your school to your Quill account. Use either your school name or zip code to search. This is a very important step, as the school link is what grants your Quill account Premium status.

Next, you'll be asked to select the grade levels and subjects you teach. This does not limit the content you can assign on Quill, and you can always update this information from your "My Account" settings:

After selecting the grade levels and subjects, you will proceed to your teacher dashboard. You can navigate to a demo account or start setting up your own account:

Importing Classes from Google Classroom

On your Teacher Homepage, click the "Classes" tab. Since your school Google account is linked, you can just click the "Import from Google Classroom" button to sync your classes with Quill.

Select the classes you wish to import and list the grade level for each class (just for informational purposes). Click "Import Classes" to complete the process.

Student Login

The Google Classroom import process creates Quill accounts for each student using students' Google login credentials. Students can log into their new Quill accounts by visiting quill.org, selecting "Log in" and then the "Log in with Google" button.

Students should then select their school-based Google account and grant Quill access. From there, they will be directed to select your classroom and then move into their Student Dashboard.

Additional Questions

I have a new student. How do I get them to show up on my Quill roster?

First, the new student must be added to your Google Classroom roster. Then, in your Quill "Classes" tab, you can select the new student's class and click "Import Google Classroom students" to resync your roster. The new student will appear in your Quill class immediately.

How can I add a co-teacher to one or more of my Quill classes?

In your "Classes" tab, select the class and scroll to the bottom of the page. Click the "Invite co-teachers" button and enter the teacher's email address to send an invitation to join the class.
