Each prompt in a Quill Diagnostic assesses a writing skill, and the Questions analysis report organizes each prompt into a writing skill category. When reading the Questions analysis report, look in the upper left corner of each section of prompts to see the writing skill category.

Furthermore, the Questions analysis report categorizes the average score for each prompt into three different score ranges, denoted by three different colors.

  • Green indicates an average score of 80-100%.

  • Yellow indicates an average score of 60-79%.

  • Red indicates an average score of 0-59%.

Lastly, the Questions analysis report provides an average score for each writing skill category based on the average scores for the prompts in the writing skill category. When reading the Questions analysis report, look in the upper right corner of each section of prompts to see the average score for for the writing skill category.

Tip ๐Ÿ’ก

For a prompt with a lower average score, assign a Quill Lesson, our tool for instruction with a whole class or small group of students, related to the prompt's relevant writing skill.
