Students must log into their Quill accounts to complete activities. Learn below how to access student account information and login credentials.

How do I access login credentials of students who were manually rostered?
If your classes were created manually (i.e. students were added manually by first/last name, or students created their own accounts and joined via class code or by class link), you can download a PDF that has the usernames and passwords of the students in this class.
To do so, click on the My Classes tab.
Then, click on the class for which you would like to download the PDF containing students' usernames and passwords and click the Download setup instructions button beneath the Students section heading to download this PDF.
This will download a PDF containing login information and instructions for each student in that class to your device. Please note that when you add students to the class by their first and last names, their passwords will default to their last names with the first letter capitalized.
If you see the copy, N/A (Custom Password), for a student's password, then the student has created their own Quill password. If you would like to reset a student's password to their last name with the first letter capitalized, please navigate to the My Classes tab.
Then, click on the class in which the student whose password you'd like to reset is rostered.
Find the student whose password you'd like to reset in the class roster and click the ellipsis button within the Actions column to the far right of the student's name. Then, click the Reset password option.
Tip 💡: The options in the Actions dropdown menu will look different if you imported students from Google Classroom or Clever. Because the login information of students who log into Quill through Google Clever is synced with another platform, you cannot manage their login information through Quill.
How do I access login credentials of students who were rostered through Google or Clever?
If you do not see the Reset password option in the Actions menu to the far right of a student's name, they have a Quill account linked to Google Classroom or Clever.
Because these students' login information is synced with another platform (i.e. Google or Clever), for security reasons, you are unable to see and/or reset these students' passwords through Clever.
If your student does not remember their Google or Clever password, you should contact your school's IT department to reset it. You are not able to do so through Quill.
If the student cannot log into Quill and needs immediate assistance, please contact us at support@quill.org and request that we create an alternative account for the student.
