When students submit responses on Quill's independent-practice activities (Quill Grammar, Quill Connect, Quill Proofreader, and Quill Reading for Evidence), they receive instantaneous targeted feedback. This feedback addresses whether or not the student correctly uses the writing skills relevant to the activity and other writing skills, such as spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and spacing in the responses that students submit.
If students receive feedback that their response is incorrect even though they believe that the response that they submitted is correct, please ask students to ensure their usage of the writing skills relevant to the activity and other writing skills, such as spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and spacing is correct. Students' responses need to correctly use the writing skills relevant to the activity and other writing skills, such as spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and spacing in order to be considered correct. For example, if there are additional spaces at the beginning or end of a response or more than one space between words, Quill will provide feedback that the response is incorrect.
