Teachers are able to customize Quill Lessons, our teacher-led activities meant for whole-class or small-group instruction. You can customize a Quill Lesson before you launch the Quill Lesson. Some examples of how you may customize a Quill Lesson include:
Aligning prompts to material that you are discussing in class, such as books you are reading in class or material that is more relatable for the students.
Changing the prompts to ones that better suit their skill level.
Rewording or clarifying directions and objectives to fit with your classroom lesson structures.
To customize a Quill Lesson, you first need to assign a Quill Lesson to your class. After you have assigned the Quill Lesson, you can customize the slides!

Within Quill Lessons, there are three different slides that can be displayed.
A Static Text slide provides text that is not interactive. These are great slides to put objectives and example sentences or review the grammar concept!
A Teacher Model slide is a slide where you will type your example sentences that will appear on your students' devices in real-time. The Prompt field is where you type the question or sentences that need to be revised. The Instructions field is where you type the instructions for revising the question or sentences. The Joining Words field is where you type example and non-example conjunctions that could be used when revising the question or sentences. Make sure you separate each joining word with a comma!
The Students Practice slide is a slide where students will type a response. On the left side of the screen, you will see either Paired Practice and Individual Practice in the Title field. Although the format of these slides is the same, the way students engage with the content will be different. For the Paired Practice slides, students will work with a partner or group member, and for the Individual Practice slides, students will independently work.
