When students complete a Growth Diagnostic, the Class summary report shows information about the whole class's growth in proficiency in the assessed writing skills, and the Student results report shows individual students' growth in proficiency in the assessed writing skills.

Access the Class summary and Student results reports for a Growth Diagnostic
Navigate to the View Reports tab and click the Diagnostics sub-tab.
On the Diagnostics report landing page, you will see each Quill Diagnostic assigned to your classes. Use the dropdown menu in the upper left corner of the page to select a class and see only the Quill Diagnostics assigned to that class.
Click the View results and recommendations button for the Growth Diagnostic whose Class summary and Student results reports you want to see.
Click either the Class summary or the Student results tab in the menu on the left side of the subsequent page to access either of these reports.
Read the Class summary report for a Growth Diagnostic
The Class summary report for a Growth Diagnostic displays a whole class's growth in their proficiency for each of the writing skills assessed by the Growth Diagnostic and the corresponding Baseline Diagnostic.
Each card on the Class summary report is associated with a writing skill assessed by the Growth Diagnostic and the corresponding Baseline Diagnostic.
The leftmost circle chart indicates the percentage of students who submitted a correct response for the prompts assessing the corresponding writing skill based on the Baseline Diagnostic data. The rightmost circle chart indicates the percentage of students who submitted a correct response for the prompts assessing the corresponding writing skill based on the Growth Diagnostic data.
The number at the bottom of a card on the Class summary report indicates the number of students who were not proficient in a writing skill and need practice in the writing skill.
The percentage in the bottom right corner of a card on the Class summary report is calculated by subtracting the leftmost circle chart percentage from the rightmost circle chart percentage percentage and is the percentage of students who demonstrated growth in a writing skill when comparing their performance on the Growth Diagnostic to their performance on the Baseline Diagnostic.
Tip 💡
If all the students who completed the Baseline Diagnostic have not yet completed the corresponding Growth Diagnostic, you will notice that the percentage for the Post proficient circle chart for a card on the Class summary report will fluctuate. Once all the students who have completed the Baseline Diagnostic complete the corresponding Growth Diagnostic, the percentage will stabilize.
Read the Student results report for a Growth Diagnostic
The Student results report for a Growth Diagnostic displays individual students' proficiency level and growth in each of the writing skills assessed by the Growth Diagnostic.
Each cell in the Student results report may have the copy of No proficiency, Partial proficiency, Gained Some Proficiency, Gained Full Proficiency, or Maintained Proficiency.
Skill proficiency levels
No proficiency means that the student did not correctly answer the questions for the skill in either the Baseline Diagnostic or the Growth Diagnostic.
Partial proficiency means that the student correctly answered some of the questions for the skill in both the Baseline Diagnostic and the Growth Diagnostic.
Gained Some Proficiency means that the student correctly answered some of the questions for the skill in the Baseline Diagnostic and correctly answered more (but not all) questions for the skill in the Growth Diagnostic.
Gained Full Proficiency means that the student did not correctly answer all of the questions for the skill in the Baseline Diagnostic, but correctly answered all of the questions for the skill in the Growth Diagnostic.
Maintained Proficiency means that the student correctly answered all of the questions for the skill in both the Baseline Diagnostic and the Growth Diagnostic.
