Why do students see a "Needs teacher" message next to an activity?
Why do students see a "Needs teacher" message next to an activity?

If your students see a "Needs teacher" message on the student dashboard, you have assigned a Quill Lesson.

Updated over a week ago

Quill Lessons are synchronous activities used for whole-class and small-group writing instruction. This type of activity is meant to be done interactively with the entire class or in small groups, which is why students are unable to work on the activity independently and see the Needs teacher message on their dashboards.

If you are interested in using a Quill Lesson with your class, click here to learn how to launch a Quill Lesson.

If you'd prefer to remove this activity from students' dashboards, click here to learn how to un-assign this activity from your My Activities tab.
