Clever Secure Sync is available to schools and districts with School Premium or District Premium subscriptions.
The instructions below are for Clever administrators. If you are a teacher, please click here to learn how to import your classes from Clever.
Clever Secure Sync enables teachers to import classes and students from Clever. Once teachers import their classes and students from Clever, their students' Quill accounts are automatically created, and students will be able to use their Clever accounts to log into their Quill accounts.
Furthermore, Clever Secure Sync enables Quill and Clever to sync on a nightly basis so that teachers do not have to manually import any newly rostered students from their Clever accounts into their Clever-synced classes in their Quill accounts.

Request to connect with Quill through Clever
Navigate to your Clever Dashboard > Applications > Add Applications page.
Use the filters at the top of the page to search for the application, Quill.org. Please see the icon for the Quill.org application in Clever below.
Once you have found the Quill.org application, click the Request App link to the far right of the application name.
You will then be prompted to authorize the request of the application. You will need to...
Select whether or not your district has already purchased the application.
Select a preferred Launch Date for the application.
Click the Send integration request button to submit the request to connect with Quill.org.
The Quill Team will then review this request, and if your school or district has a School Premium or District Premium subscription, the Quill Team will approve this request and send a request for sharing data and coordinating rules for sharing data. Coordinate rules for sharing data with Quill
Quill recommends that Clever administrators implement Share by Rules, which means that Clever will only share data that meets the rules that you've set. We recommend this Share by Rules as it provides Clever administrators with the autonomy to specifically define the data that be included, or excluded, in the sharing.
More specifically, Quill recommends that Clever administrators implement rules such that only the schools, sections, teachers, and students who will be using Quill will be shared with Quill through Clever.
Once the rules for sharing data are defined, your school or district's data will begin being shared with Quill through Clever.

How teachers sign up for and log into Quill through Clever
To sign up for and log into Quill through the Clever platform, teachers will navigate to the Clever login page and log into their Clever portal using their Clever login credentials.
Once in their Clever portal, teachers will search for Quill.org in the search field in the upper right corner of the page and click Quill.org from the list of applications.
Once teachers click the Quill.org application in their Clever portal, Clever will automatically log them into their Quill account.

How teachers import classes and students from Clever into Quill
To import their classes from their Clever accounts into their Quill accounts using Clever Secure Sync, teachers will navigate to the My Classes page and click the Import from Clever button.
Teachers will then see a menu from which they may select the classes that they would like to import from their Clever accounts into their Quill accounts.

How students log into Quill through Clever
Once teachers' classes and students are imported from their Clever accounts to their Quill accounts, students' Quill accounts will be automatically made. Students can log into their Quill accounts through their Clever accounts by clicking the Quill.org application icon in their Clever portal.
Alternatively, students can navigate directly to this login page and click the Log in with Clever button.
