On Quill, each classroom has a unique class code. Students can join their teachers' classes and access their assignments by entering the class code when prompted upon login. Students only have to enter the class code once to join a class. The class code does not change and can be used in the future to add new students to a class.
In order for students to join a class, the teacher must share the class code with the student. The steps below detail how teachers can find their class code.
Table of Contents:
Manually Created Classes
To access your class code, click the "Classes" tab and find the class section in question. The class code is located under the class name.
Google Classroom and Clever Imported Classes
If you have linked your account to Google Classroom or Clever, you can import your Google Classroom rosters and Clever classes. When you import your classes, student accounts are automatically created and added to your Quill class and students do not need a class code.
If your rosters are not syncing or you have a new student that needs to join your Quill class, though, students can join via class code. To find the class code on your Google Classroom or Clever linked classes, click the "Classes" tab, and hover your mouse over the "Class Code: ?" copy.
How Students Join via Class Code
If students are creating their Quill accounts for the first time, they will see a “Join Your Class” page appear once they have created their accounts. Students will put the class code in the box that says “Add your class code”, then click the “Join your class” button.
If students are logging into a previously created Quill account, they can click the “Join a class” card after they login. Once they click that card, they will put the class code in the box that says “Add your class code”, then click the “Join your class” button.
