Once you've chosen and assigned the Quill Lesson of your choice (check out our guide for assigning and launching a Quill Lesson if you need a refresher), arrange for a time to conduct the Quill Lesson with your students over a video conferencing platform, such as Zoom or Google Hangouts.
Launch the lesson from the Launch Lessons page of your My Activities tab in your Quill account.
Then, instruct your students to log into their Quill accounts and click the Join the lesson button to join the Quill Lesson.
From there, you will be able to conduct the Quill Lesson and move through the slides from your teacher view.
Your students will similarly be able to follow along and engage with the prompts, from the student view of the lesson slides on their screens.
Tip 💡 To set-up your computer desktop for using Quill Lessons, you will want to arrange your screen carefully to be able to see the faces of some of your students while you navigate the Quill Lesson, as demonstrated in the above screenshots.
In one window, have the Quill Lesson page open wide enough so that you can see the site and its’ content comfortably.
In another window, have your video conferencing platform open and arranged to a tile view.
Tip 💡 You will not need the Launch Projector or Watch Teacher functions while using a Quill Lesson remotely.
For more information, check out our video tutorial on using Quill Lessons remotely.
