Quill Reading for Evidence, Quill's reading and writing tool for students in grades 8-12, is now available! This article will walk you through how to see and assign Quill Reading for Evidence activities.

Assign featured activity packs of Reading for Evidence activities
Please navigate to the Assign Activities page and click the Browse featured activity packs card.
On the subsequent page, click the Browse Independent Practice Activity Packs card.
This will bring you to a list of Quill's featured (pre-made) independent-practice activity packs. Select the Reading Texts filter to only see featured activity packs of Reading for Evidence activities. In addition, you may click here to access the featured activity packs of Reading for Evidence activities.
Each of the featured activity packs of reading for Evidence activities contains 3-4 Quill Reading for Evidence activities on compelling nonfiction topics with a related theme, such as land restoration efforts or sports & recreation.
When you click on the card for a featured activity pack of Reading for Evidence activities, you will be taken to a page with an overview of the featured activity pack that contains the information below.
What will students be doing while completing this activity pack?

What is the theme of the activity pack?
How much time will students need to complete this activity pack?

On the page with the overview of a featured activity pack, click the Preview link to the right of a Quill Reading for Evidence activity's name to preview the activity and see exactly what students will be doing when completing the activity.
Once you are ready to assign the featured activity pack, click the green Select Pack button in the upper right corner of the page.
You will be brought to the Review and assign page, where you can enter and edit activity pack details.
In the Name the assignment section, you can rename the name of the featured activity pack.

In the Review activities and pick due dates section, for each activity, you may set a Publish date (the date that the activity will appear in your students' Quill accounts), set a Due date, and see if any of the included activities have been previously assigned to any of your students.
In the Choose classes or students section, select the classes and students to whom you would like to assign the activity pack by checking the boxes next to their names.
When you are ready to assign the activity pack, click on the green Assign pack to classes button in the upper right corner of the page.
Create and assign activity packs of Reading for Evidence activities
To create and assign an activity pack of Reading for Evidence activities, please navigate to the Assign Activities page and click the Explore all activities in our activity library card.
In Quill's activity library, check the Independent: Reading Texts filter to only see Reading for Evidence activities.
While choosing the Reading for Evidence activities that you would like to see, please click the Preview link to the right of a Quill Reading for Evidence activity's name to preview the activity and see exactly what students will be doing when completing the activity.
When you would like to assign a Reading for Evidence activity, check the box to the name of the Reading for Evidence activity and click the green Assign button in the upper right corner of the page.
You will be brought to the Review and assign page, where you can enter and edit activity pack details.
