Each of our featured (pre-made) activity packs contains 3-10 activities focused on a specific writing skill or theme. To learn more about how to find and assign these featured (pre-made) activity packs, read below.

Find and assign a featured (pre-made) activity pack
Please navigate to the Assign Activities page.
Then, click the Browse featured activity packs card.
Click either the Browse Independent Practice Activity Packs card or the Browse Whole-Class Lesson Activity Packs card.
Then, use the filters at the top of the page to narrow down the activity packs that you see. Each card corresponds with a featured activity pack and shows a high-level overview of the featured activity pack, including the relevant writing skill, the types of Quill activities included, the number of activities included, the estimated time to complete the activity pack, and the Grade Level Range of the activity pack.
Click on the activity pack you'd like to assign to see a list of the activities included and preview activities to ensure they meet your students' needs. The Previously assigned column displays an icon if the activity has been previously assigned to students in any of your classes.
Below the list of activities included in the activity pack, you will see more information about the activity pack, including the estimated time to complete the activity pack, the Common Core State Standards covered, the Grade Level Range, and the Readability Level for the activity pack.
If you would like to proceed with assigning the featured activity pack, click the Select pack button in the upper right corner of the page.
After clicking the Select pack button, you will see the Review and assign page, where there are three sections.
In the Name the assignment section, you can edit the name of the activity pack.
In the Review activities and pick due dates section, you have the options to set a Publish date (the date that this activity pack will appear in your students' Quill accounts) for each of the activities in the activity pack, set a Due date for each of the activities in the activity pack, and determine if you have previously assigned the activities in the activity pack.
In the Choose classes or students section, select the classes and students to whom you would like to assign the activity pack. If you would like to assign the activity pack to only some students in a class, check the box to the left of the class's name, click the All students dropdown menu, and uncheck the names of students to whom you would not like to assign the activity pack.
Lastly, to assign the activity pack, click the Assign pack to classes button in the upper right corner of the page.
After you have clicked the Assign pack to classes button, students will be able to either immediately access the activity pack in their Quill accounts or on the Publish date that you specified. Please click here to learn more about students' Quill accounts and login information.
